Nicolas’s fitness story:
I have always been involved in sports including football, American football, ice hockey, cross-country running and sprints. These sports helped shape me into who I am today. I competed up to university level after which I started focusing more on my career and on helping people reach their fitness goals. Since I moved to Dubai in 2012 to start a gym for athletes, I have switched from performance training and strength and conditioning to also focus more on fitness and health. I want to show people that whatever your goals, you can reach them if you really want to.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I draw my inspiration from many people including my clients and athletes. Watching them push hard to reach their goals motivates me to reach mine, and to lead by example. I’m a very competitive person, so I also get inspired from seeing other athletes training and getting better.
What’s your key to your success?
I live my life like I’ve always approached sports and training. I believe that the same values that you learn from sports can help you have success in anything in life. If you really want something, you have to be willing to sacrifice time and effort in order to get it.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
My parents taught me to be proud of my achievements, but to always stay humble.
Do you have a phrase or motto you live your life by?
Never be satisfied. Stay hungry. Stay humble. Create your own luck.
