Full name: Rick Bhullar

Come and have a One to One Fitness session with Rick at the festival!
Rick’s fitness story:
I’ve always been into sports when I was younger.
At 16 I began taking dance classes. After finishing my first year at University studying computer science, I decided to follow my heart and leave uni to go to dance college.
This was the step that changed the rest of my life.
For the next 10 years I worked as a professioanl dancer in London which took me all around the world.
Performing in everything from music videos, fashion shows, world tours, westend shows, tv shows, concerts, adverts and films. Dance has taken me all around the world and been lucky enough to visit over 50 countries in my career.
Fitness had always been my passion and my big transition into fitness was becoming the choreographer and instructor on “Now That’s What I Call Fitness” DVD which peaked at number 2 on the UK charts.
In 2014 I moved to Dubai and retired as a dancer and became a full time trainer.
Although achieving great success with my Personal Training clients, I wasn’t able to help as many people as I wanted. This is where the 30 Day Dubai Fit Challenge was born. A 30 day fat loss program including a full nutrition system and fitness boot camps, we have had huge success with thousands of UAE residents and are continuing to grow.
Worked with artists such as Kelly Rowland, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Take That, Peter Andre, Petshop Boys, Olly Murs, SugarBabes, Eliza Doolittle, Heavy D and LaToya Jackson.
Performing on Britains Got Talent, X-Factor, Brit Awards, Strictly Come Dancing, The Royal Variety, and in the original cast of Thriller Live which includes, UK tour, World Tour and Westend.
One of my biggest achievement was being hand selected by Michael Jackson’s choreographers, Lavelle Smith Jr and Frank Gatson to perform original MJ Choreography at The Michael Jackson Forever Tribute Concert in front of 55,000 people.
There were 600 auditionees and only 5 people chosen.
Presenter/Choreographer of UK best selling “Now That’s What I Call Fitness” DVD.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
My mother is a big inspiration to me as well. At one time working 4 jobs in order to provide for my family.
I also get very inspired from life stories of those who started with nothing and built a legacy. Stars like Muhammed Ali, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Will Smith who have all faced adversity but believed in their journey and without a doubt. Then created their own path.
What’s your key to your success?
Consistency. Instead of looking for the short term success, working towards the long term goal and not getting distracted.
Understanding what you want out of life, and then working out how to get there. Making sure everyday you are doing at least one thing to take another step forward.
And also belief, knowing that anything is achievable, you have to undoubatedly believe in your own journey.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
To always follow your heart.
Your head will make logical decisions, however you heart is what makes you truely happy.
Leaving University was the biggest decision of my life, however it completely changed my life and I’ve never looked back since.
We’ve only got one shot at life, sometimes you have to jump in order to fly.
Do you have a phrase or motto you live your life by?
The only things you regret in life, are the risks you didn’t take ( I have a tattoo of it)
