Costa was founded in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in 1971 and now represents the second largest international coffee shop operator.

Costa Coffee opened its first store outside of the UK in 1999, at Dubai’s Aviation Club. Its 100th Costa Coffee store was opened 14 years later at the World Trade Centre Mall in Abu Dhabi. Today there are over 140 Costa outlets in the UAE.
